4 Months

Renn is 4 months old!

-15 pounds, 14.5 ounces (75%)

-26 inches (90%)

He is growing and changing everyday!

The doctor said she is happy if a baby gains 2.5 pounds between the 2 and 4 month check-ups, and little man has gained 4!  I'm so thankful the spit-up isn't that big of an issue right now, other than it is messy, disgusting and happens all the time.  And we did increase his medication, so I'm hoping that will help with the discomfort at least.  He had 2 vaccines and was a little fussy yesterday, so let's hope he is feeling better today!

A lot has happened in the last month:

-Rolling over, both front to back and back to front.  He did this June 1, our first night at the beach!

-Starting to sit up in the Bumbo. 

-Enjoying the Baby Bjorn/Lillebaby baby carries.  It is so nice to get out for walks in the afternoon and let him look around and get some fresh air out of the stroller! 

-Laughing...belly laughs, chuckles, all of it.  He did his first laugh for RJ the night we got back home from our trip, June 4.  It was just adorable to watch RJ and Renn have that moment!

-Grabbing/hitting at things.  He is really noticing things around him and starting to try to touch them.  He puts everything in his mouth!

-Wearing size 3 diapers.

-Wearing 6-9 month clothing.  Still a lot of length in his torso and wears 6-12 month size onesies.

-Still nursing, although not quite as long now.  He will not really take a bottle from me, but we usually try to get RJ to feed him one about once a week just so he doesn't totally forget. 

-Still sucks his thumb.  Thinks the pacifier is stupid and won't even entertain the idea.

-Is sleeping pretty well.  He is on hour 11 right now.  He usually goes about 9-10 hours, snacks, then goes back to sleep for a few hours.  Somedays, like today, he goes 11-12 hours. 

-We will probably start playing around with cereal next month.  He seems perfectly content right now and considering the severity of Caroline's food allergies, I am fine to wait.  If he starts acting like he's starving in the next month, we may change that.

And he is just the most precious, handsome baby boy I have ever seen :)
