This last week has been a much welcomed change in our home. For one, Lilly Catherine started feeling much better around Tuesday, which always helps! Secondly, the weather has been WONDERFUL out here!!! Mid-50's and sun!!! And because the girls have been feeling better, we have been (somewhat) back in our "routine" more than the last few months. This means Moms Day Out for Caroline (she loves it and we both need it), playgroups and trips out and about.
This week we met some super friends at the Zoo -- our first trip to the Zoo since August?!?! And it was great! The girls (and myself) were practically giddy to be outside and with other people.
We also had a playdate at another friend's house and had a great time...this particular group of women always makes me happy...they are beyond hilarious. And 3 out of 5 of us have babies within 6 weeks of each other!
While Caroline was at MDO Friday morning, Lilly and I went to Hobby Lobby to look for stuff for her 1st birhtday party. By the way, I have only been in Hobby Lobby maybe 2 times...it is great for stuff like this! Who knew?!? I always thought of it as just a craft/fabric kind of store. We found lots of cute stuff for invitations, a birthday banner (I saw one on Kelly's Korner for her daughter's birthday that was really cute, so I am attempting my own version), some placemats, and other little odds and ends.
Friday evening we went to dinner at Ted's Montana Grill (nice restaurant, good adult food and still appropriate for demanding babies) and then to the Nuggets game. It didn't start until 7 so we were a little worried about how the girls would do so late. But they were really great! Caroline had a wonderful time and I think Lilly Catherine was just amazed and entertained with looking at everyone/everything around her. All of the people sitting around us were just enamored with LC. The young couple beside us literally couldn't stop talking to her (of course she was smiling the whole time at them), and the woman even offered her part of her baked potato. We politely declined. We are really glad we went, but were exhausted!
